Camping can be just as fun at home as it is in the forest. Though camping in the trees can't be replaced, this is a fun activity you can do anytime, even on a weekday if your weekends are too packed.

First off, if you have a tent you can pitch it in your backyard, or a neighbors backyard if you don't have one. The tent isn't required, of course, but it does add to the fun. If you don't have one or don't want to use one a tarp is a good thing to sleep on as it will stop moisture from the ground soaking into your sleeping bags and blankets.

Be sure to take snacks and flashlights as they add to the fun as well.

It also helps to turn off automatic sprinkler systems in your backyard for the night ;) I know from experience.

You might need an alarm of some kind to wake you up if it is a weeknight, otherwise just enjoy the night and being woken up by the sunrise shining on you in the morning.
